31x40 LA BELLE Dame Sans Wall Hanging

   The romantic appeal of Sir Francis Dicksee's medieval style, made up of literary, allegorical, and biblical subjects dressed in lavish costumes of exquisite color earned him great success and popularity.  This creation is his painterly interpretation of John Keats poem by the same name.  "I met a lady in the meads, Full beautiful-a faery's child, Her hair was long, her foot was light, And her eyes were wild."
